This route should take them through the Thermal Spires and Purple Vents biomes until the seafloor drops away sharply. Starting from the lifepod, players will need to head directly southeast for about 800 meters. Having a compass is essential, as well as a Seatruck with the Depth Mk3 module upgrade, and the Perimeter Defense upgrade.
